Ooooooffff 🙁

This was a really spectacular meteor that left a spectacular ion train. Unfortunately my lens (a Samyang 18mm F2.8 ) de-focused itself shortly after midnight last night. I’m inclined to believe the lens warmer expanded enough to twist the ring. I had the camera set to manual focus and was good when I checked it around moonrise / 9:45pm or so.

So do I forgo lens warmer and accept degradation from frost? Or use the lens warmer and lose focus. It’s a no-win dilemma.
