Feb 2-3, 2020 time lapses and astrophotography

First quarter moon
Orion Nebula, first try.
I shot for an hour and almost every frame had Starlink satellites in it. This is a composite of only frames with multiple satellites (some frames had 5+). There are two trains of Starlinks, one left and above, one right of Orion nebula. The long streak at the bottom is not Starlink.

Dec 20-21, 2019 time lapse plus star trails

Some people mark the shortest day, but I always look forward to the longest night (tomorrow).

This time lapse contains 2,877 frames captured over 13+ hours between Dec 20, 2019 at 5:16pm MST – Dec 21, 2019 at 7:02am MST.

There’s a Starlink satellite constellation overpass near the start. It’s more obvious in the star trail version.

Dec 11-12, 2019 time lapses

Time lapse of the full moon setting over Tres Piedras, New Mexico, USA
First, the moon rises. Then rainbow colors refracted by frost on the lens (saving battery by not using lens warmer). Then a couple meteors. Then Starlink satellites before dawn. Then the glorious dawn.
