I spotted this near sunset and ran to grab my telephoto lens

A quick twitter search for “high altitude balloon launch” found the mission and a link to the live feed from the balloon, which I’m still watching several hours later:

NASA launched a stargazing telescope called PICTURE-C on a scientific balloon from Fort Sumner, New Mexico. The mission is now airborne and collecting science.
